This Policy explains the information we collect, the purpose of collecting such information and the use and handling of collected information.
Information collected
There are two ways in which we collect information:
1. Information you provide us. We ask for certain personal information when you sign up for our newsletter (i.e. as Friends),
become our Affiliate or make a donation to us. Such information may include your name, email address, contact number, or if
you are making an online donation, your credit card information.
2. Information we collect as you browse our website. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about visitors to
our website. In other words, information so collected cannot be used to identify a particular person. Such information includes
search queries, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL. We may also collect device-specific
information, such as your hardware model and operating system version.
Purpose of collecting such information
Your personal information will be used to identify you in our future correspondences and be used to market or promote available volunteering openings,
initiatives, updates, activities, events and opinion surveys organised by us or by our partner organisations from time to time. Your information may also be used for any other purposes
that would facilitate the management of our membership network. Your credit card information provided at the time of making online
donations will be used solely for the purpose of processing payment for donations you authorised us.
As for information we collect as you browse our website, we only make use of them in aggregate to analyse visitors' browsing
behaviour so to improve our website to better suit visitors' needs.
Unsubscribing
You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time for free by clicking on the "Unsubscribe from this list" link at the bottom of the subscription confirmation email or every email we send out.
Use and handling of collected information
Generally, information we collect are stored in secured servers, which may include in severs owned and maintained by
third-party solution providers such as Google and MailChimp. Sensitive personal information such as your credit card
details are not stored with SVhk and are directly stored and processed by our payment partner Payment Asia Ltd.
Changes
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without
your explicit consent. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant,
we will provide a more prominent notice (including email notification of privacy policy changes).
