The Hon. Ronald Arculli, GBM, GBS, JP
Chairman, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited
Mr. Ronald Arculli is currently a Non-Official Member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR
Government and Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Effective January 2010,
Mr. Arculli serves as the Vice Chairman and Board Director of the World Federation of
Exchanges. He is the senior partner of King & Wood, the Hong Kong Office of the largest
law firm in Mainland China. He also serves on the boards of several major listed companies
in Hong Kong.
In October 2008, Mr. Arculli is appointed by the HKSAR Government as a Member of the Board
of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. His long and distinguished public service
includes being a Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (1988/2000) and the Chairman
of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (2002/2006).
Ms. Annie Chen
Private Investor
Ms. Annie Chen was born and raised in Hong Kong. She obtained her B.A. from Brown University
and her LL.B. from Columbia Law School.
After graduation, she practiced as a tax lawyer, first in San Francisco and then in Hong Kong,
specializing in U.S. and cross-border tax planning for corporations as well income, trust
and estate tax planning for individuals. For the past thirteen years, she has been involved
in the development and management of a family office that provides a range of services for
three generations of family members.
More recently, Annie has been working on incorporating socially- and environmentally-responsible
values into her investment process. She believes that one of the most pressing challenges
of our time is moving the planet towards sustainability. As a private investor, Annie sees
committing her resources to responsible and ethical investing as an important means of
contributing to this process.
Towards the more philanthropic end of the investment spectrum, Annie is exploring opportunities
to invest for social and environmental impact. She is also very interested in social entrepreneurship
and is seeking ways to enhance its development in Hong Kong and in Asia.
Mr. Bernard Chan, GBS, JP
President, Asia Financial Holdings and Asia Insurance
Mr. Bernard Chan is a deputy to the National People's Congress and a former member both of
Hong Kong's Executive and Legislative Councils. A graduate of Pomona College in California,
he is the President of Asia Financial Holdings and Asia Insurance. He is Chairman of the
Antiquities Advisory Board, the Advisory Committee on Revitalisation of Historic Buildings
and the Council for Sustainable Development. He is chairman of the Lingnan University Council,
chairperson of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and deputy chairman of the Oxfam Hong Kong.
He is also chairman of the Hong Kong - Thailand Business Council and an advisor to Bangkok Bank,
Hong Kong Branch.
Mr. Leong Cheung
EVP and Head of China Portfolio Group, Bain Capital
Mr. Leong Cheung received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BBA from the Chinese
University of Hong Kong, where he later had taught strategy for five years as part-time lecturer.
He joined Bain Capital Asia in 2008, and is currently the Executive Vice President of portfolio
operation. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Global Sourcing & Supply Chain at Esquel
Group, the founder and CEO of an Internet start-up and a senior consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. Cheung is a Court and Council member of the Hong Kong Lingnan University, a trustee of Esquel Y.L.
Yang Education Foundation and an Advisory Committee member of the Hong Kong Quality Migrant Admission Scheme.
Mr. Patrick Cheung
Chairman, Dialogue in the Dark HK
Mr. Patrick Cheung is the Country Representative for Ashoka-China, the global association of the world's leading
entrepreneurs with system changing solutions that address the world's most urgent social challenges.
He is also the Managing Director of Dialogue in the Dark Hong Kong and Founding director of Hong Kong
Social Entrepreneurship Forum.
Mr. Water Cheung
Senior Partner and CEO Asia Pacific, StormHarbour Securities
Mr. Water Cheung spent more than two decades in global investment banking encompassing Trading, Sales and
Corporate Finance. Water is currently the Senior Partner and Asia CEO of StormHarbour Securities,
a global merchant bank boutique with 150 professionals globally. Prior to that, Water was the
Treasurer and Head of Emerging Markets of The Royal Bank of Scotland in Asia. From 2000-2007,
Water was with DBS Bank. He built and managed the DBS’ Derivatives and Debt Capital Market business
in Asia. Water started his investment banking career in the 80’s in Canada. He returned to Asia in
1993 and worked for Chase Manhattan Bank and CIBC Financial Products. Water was the first generation
derivative trader in Asia’s emerging markets. Water is a CFA and received an Engineering degree from
the University of Toronto and a MBA degree from York University, Canada. Water is an also regular
columnist in the Hong Economic Journal (信報) and Ming Pao (明報).
Ms. Rosanna Choi

Practising accountant, a partner of a medium-sized Certified Public Accountants firm. MBA
(University of Sydney), Master of Science in Information System Management. Tirelessly
searching for the peak of mountain, the trench of ocean, and the zenith of her achievement.
Rosanna is one of the core organizers of The 30S Group. She is also a committee member of
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) HK. She actively participates in
community services as organized by The 30S Group and ACCA HK. She believes that SVHK

Mr. Philip Ho

Mr. Philip Ho is Senior Vice President of Asia Financial Holdings Limited, a listed company
on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange taking equity stakes in service providers of general insurance,
life insurance, retirement funds/pensions, health care, property development and other investments.
Mr. Ho is also the executive Vice Secretary General of the HK Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations.
Mr. Laurence Li

Laurence is a barrister. After graduating from Yale (BA) and Harvard (JD), he worked at a law firm in
New York and later joined the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. Desperately in love with
this city, Laurence’s favorite leisure activities are roaming around in Mong Kok, hiking in Sai Kung,
and eating fish balls from street vendors. He has completed the Trailwalker twice and, although
rather out of shape nowadays, hopes to run in the Hong Kong Marathon.
Mr. Francis Ngai
CEO, Social Ventures Hong Kong
Francis is the founder and CEO of SVhk and also a core-organizer of the 30S Group.
With experience in marketing, advertising and strategy profession, Francis was Assistant Vice President
- Strategic Development of PCCW, responsible for the corporate development and strategy of ICT business
in China, before fully dedicating himself in SVhk. He is now also a part-time member of the Central
Policy Unit, HKSAR Government and part-time visiting lecturer in universities. He hopes to promote
young professionals' participation in social entrepreneurship and social innovation through the SVhk platform.
Mr. Joseph Ngai
Managing Partner, McKinsey & Co. HK
Joe is a partner of McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm, and leads its Asia asset
management and insurance practice. He is an author of "Life Insurance in Asia", and is a regular contributor
to industry forums. He is passionate about community services, sits on the Steering Committee of Youth
Business Hong Kong, and is a core organizer of 30S Group, where he leads the survey project 30S Pulse.
He is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.
Mr. Tony Tsoi
CEO, Varitronix
Mr. Tony Tsoi is Chief Executive Officer of Varitronix International Limited, a company listed
on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He is a non-executive director of China WindPower Holdings
Limited and Fairwood Holdings Limited, both of which are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Tony was a former Deputy Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
and served on different committees of the SFC. He graduated from the University of Western
Ontario with an Honors Business Administration degree, and has worked for companies in the
investment banking, media and manufacturing industries. He is a columnist and radio host,
and has published several books.
Mr. Bryan Wong

Bryan is an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of a local business group
with interests in entertainment, food and beverage, consumer products and property
businesses. Previously he held various positions at Hong Kong Disneyland and the
Boston Consulting Group. He has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania,
and MSSc and BBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Stephen Wong
Adjunct Lecturer, CUHK
Stephen Wong is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
for the Masters Program of the Global Political Economy, and at the Hong Kong University
SPACE for the Institute for China Business.
He is a member of the Budget and Allocation Committee at the Community Chest of Hong Kong,
a Director of the Board of the Clean Air Network, and a member of the Sustainable Development
Committee at the Sowers Action. He is an economic columnist for Hong Kong Economic Journal
Monthly, i-Money Magazine, and Apple Daily. He is the chief economist for the Hong Kong Metro
Finance Radio.
He was a Managing Director and member of the Fixed Income Management Committee (Asia Pacific)
at RBS. He was Head of Structured Credit Derivatives and Alternatives (Asia Pacific).
Previously, he was with UBS (London) as an Executive Director and Lehman Brothers
(from 1997-2004 in London and New York) as a Director.
He graduated from Yale University (M.A.) and received a B.A. in Economics from the
University of Chicago.
