Careers
Social entrepreneurship can be your next career. After a couple years of development, social enterprise is gradually
turning into an 'industry' in Hong Kong (maybe even worth considering it as the seventh, apart from the other six
advantaged industries named by the Government), which means we now have more constant deal flow, fund flow and
people flow. In fact, there are more and more social enterprise job openings for passionate individuals from diverse background.
Unlike the development path in conventional businesses, a socially-driven career requires a great deal of passion from
the potential talent - not only does an ideal candidate have to complete essential daily tasks, but also have to play the
role of a social entrepreneur, to lead and grow the project strategically, to develop and expand with limited resources
but at the same time leveraging on social networks, and to manage and mobilize a team and a network of volunteers. But
don't be scared, afterall, it is a brand new sector full of excitement. You will leave home with a meaning everyday,
and return with fulfillment at heart.
Are you be one of those who can start a new career to change the world? Please talk to us! SVhk is actively looking
for candidates to fill a number of roles in the organization as well as portfolio social enterprises. We hope to engage
with those passionate ones who would like to change their career path and work together to make the world a better place for all.
Learn more about those who have made social entrepreneurship their career. Among them is Doris Leung, CEO, Diamond Cab who gave up her full-time job as
a TV journalist and founded a barrier-free point-to-point transportation service in Hong Kong.
