About Us
Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk) is a venture philanthropic organization, aiming to provide
financial and non-financial support to Social Purpose Organizations or Social Enterprises
in Hong Kong.
Being a subsidiary of the 30S Group – a young professional forum (www.30sgroup.org),
SVhk was established in 2007, aiming to support and nurture more successful social enterprises
in Hong Kong and promote young professionals' participation in social entrepreneurship.

Pioneering Venture Philanthropy
The diversified development of the third sector (instead of just having NGOs) is proven
in other cities to be effective and efficient in dealing with our increasingly complex
and serious social problems in Hong Kong.
Together with visionary philanthropists, we aim to build a solid ground of financial
support to social enterprises, and demonstrate a new model of venture philanthropy in Hong Kong.

Pooling Young Professional Volunteers
Professional engagement is one of our key differentiation, and a better guarantee to our social
investment. Riding on the 800-membership base of the 30S Group, we built a large pool of committed
professional volunteers in town, who has contributed over 10,000 voluntary hours since established in 2007.

Innovating Social Change
To sustain a promising pipeline in a rather immature social enterprise market, we have developed a
healthy system to nurture or incubate new projects, by extending our network in difference sectors,
and to incubate innovative ideas with our professional volunteer team.

It’s time to change, and we believe everyone could be a change maker. Though we are not able to
turn the globe, we would like to continue mobilizing the group of professionals to contribute in social
entrepreneurship and build alternative social capital in the society.
